Where is Warren Farm?

Land's End of Wales - a geography lesson

We've found over the years that Pembrokeshire seems to be one of the best kept secrets in Britain: despite the obvious attractions that abound across the county, most people haven't heard of it. Which makes it a little difficult when trying to explain where the farm is.

We'll start at the top, for those of you that don't know much about Britain. Many foreigners equate 'Britain' with 'England', neglecting Scotland, Northern Ireland, and of course, Wales. Each of these has their own separate culture, landscape and even language.

If you look at a map of the British mainland, cross your eyes a bit and dig deep into your creativity, you might be able to imagine Britain as being an odd-looking witch riding on the back of a pig.

Map of Wales & its counties OK, so you have to have a really good imagination, but hey ho.

Wales is the pig's head, over on the left of the mainland just above Cornwall.

Moving in a bit closer, you'll find Pembrokeshire at the very south west tip of Wales, next to Ceredigion to the north east and Carmarthenshire to the east. Together, these three counties used to form the largest county in Wales known as Dyfed but more recently each have reverted back to their historic names & boundaries.

The Welsh name for Pembroke, the town after which the county is named, is 'Penfro' which translates as 'Land's End' - so we are truly the Welsh Land's End.

So now you've found Pembrokeshire, we'll need to zoom in one last time to find the farm.
Map of Pembrokeshire As you can see, you can't go much further south or west. In fact, the only houses south of Warren are further east, and the only houses west are a little way north.
